Tell us if you think we should adopt a rule to make the Aramith red circle cue ball a standard during league play.

There has been some controversy over the use of a Aramith red circle cue balls vs. the house ball vs. the pro cup (aka measle ball) during league play. The red circle cue ball is by far a superior quality cue ball offering precision in size, weight and balance.  The Belgium phenolic resin made cues balls are preferred in many upper level, semi-professional and professional pool tournaments and by many during league play across the United States.  They are the standard for our locally held upper level State championship tournaments.  Read more about Aramith.

Give us your thoughts.

Am I good enough to play in a league?

Yes, you are good enough to play in a league! Some leagues, such as T.A.P. League, are more suited for the amateur player than others. These leagues provide a handicap or skill level for every player. Many leagues also provide a maximum handicap for the team. This encourages all levels of players.

These skill levels are raised and lowered based on how well you are playing. Many leagues also provide the opportunity for coaching. The better players will assist others in making decisions and making shots.

Please feel free to comment, ask questions, etc. I look forward to hearing from you!

Introduction

Hello pool players! My name is Cindy. My husband, Jeff and I own and operate TAP Las Vegas pool league. We purchased the league in January 2007. In July 2007, I gave up my corporate job and became dedicated to the success of the pool league. In August, we started a billiard company to supplement our income. We still don't quite make a living doing this, but we sure have a lot of fun trying! Pool is our passion and we love working together. My message here is that there IS life after the corporate world. Whatever your passion may be, try to make a business out of it and dedicate yourself (as much as possible) to its success.
